Q: How can you tell a Canadian Alliance MP has been duped?

John Duncan, the Canadian Alliance’s honourable member from Vancouver Island North, rose yesterday during question period to demand to know what the federal government was going to do about the imminent closing of the World Trade Organization and its re-opening as a new body. “Will the government inform Canadians what impact this will have on our appeals on lumber, agriculture and other ongoing trade disputes?”
A couple of minutes later, Duncan rose again on a point of order. “It has come to my attention that a fraud has been perpetrated upon the House. The World Trade Organization website was broken into and inaccurate material was placed on its website. I relied on that information when I asked my question.”
